What is thunder road carowinds?

Thunder Road was a wooden roller coaster located at Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte, North Carolina. It opened in 1976 and was one of the park's original attractions.

The coaster featured a racing theme, with two parallel tracks that ran side by side, allowing guests to race against each other. Thunder Road was known for its fast speeds, sharp turns, and thrilling drops, making it a favorite among roller coaster enthusiasts.

Unfortunately, Thunder Road was permanently closed in 2015 to make way for a new expansion at Carowinds. The coaster was eventually dismantled and removed from the park.
